Trees of Righteousness (©2003, all rights reserved) was commissioned and performed for the 125th Anniversary of Duquesne University. Written for Chorus, Bass-Baritone Soloist, and six instruments. The text is taken from Luke 4:18, a text central to the mission of the Spiritan order, founders of Duquesne University. Related texts were added to explore the central ideas of righteousness and celebration. Performed by soloist Guenko Guechev and the Duquesne University Chamber Singers under the direction of Rebecca Rollett.
