3 States of Being (Lynn Emberg Purse©2003) was inspired by the concept of entropy as regarded from a philosophical and spiritual point of view. The piece, written for the Duquesne University Contemporary Ensemble under the direction of David Stock, was premiered at the U3 Composer Festival in March, 2003, in Pittsburgh PA.
